Pastiche can create and provide the following ghost effects : Entrance
As guests arrive at the venue, a hallway can be created, which
guests must travel through to get into the main room. Various
effects can be created in this hallway such as: Ghost Appearances Thru Walls - Costumed ghosts are seen to be walking out of a wall, across the hallway and through the wall at the other side. When guests check the walls they find there is no doorway or gap from which the ghosts have appeared, adding to the effect. Special Effects - A wide range of effects can be created, such as:
Side Shows
Living Statue Chair - (see picture on right) A Beautifully detailed gothic armchair sits motionless in one area of the venue, for guests to sit and have their photograph taken. Little do guests know that this gothic armchair is perfectly concealing an actor sitting inside. Once the photograph has been taken the actor comes to life to startle unsuspecting victims, the chair can also move across the floor as if it was haunted. These are just a couple of ideas, but with this special effect many more are possible. Spooky Mirror- A full length mirror, with gothic surround, stands in a doorway or corner of the venue. Once guests start looking into the mirror, it comes to life, as a light suddenly comes on behind the mirror and a ghost actor is seen travelling towards the mirror who then slams against the mirror just as the light goes off. Entertainers- Pastiche can provide a vast array of artistes from Stilt Walkers to Fire Artistes, Hosts to Dancers all in fantastic costumes to further enhance the theme. A close-up magician can create effects of a haunted nature, with ghostly writing, haunted deck of cards and floating objects all inspired by the spirits from the 'other side'. Special Effects- A wide range of effects can be created, such as:
Main Show Guests have experienced the ghostly entrance and side show effects, but can anything prepare them for the highlight of the evening, when the main show begins - The Exorcism of the Venue. The show starts with dancers in a circle acting out a 'Seance' through dance, starting slow and building up, very much like a ceremonial spirit dance, where the performers try to invoke the spirits and ghosts into making an appearance. This is followed up with a couple more choreographed routines, with each piece of music being more vibrant than the previous, up until the end of the last piece, which then becomes subdued, as the ghosts of the venue prepare to manifest themselves right before everyone's eyes. To conclude the whole of the evening's event, we believe a 'real' ghost has to make an appearance. There are various ways to produce a ghost in the venue, depending on budget and also venue restrictions. A site visit would be required to explore the following ideas and suggestions. Interactive Ghost- through an optical illusion and clever dynamics a real person can be projected as a ghost. Guests see a transparent ghost slowly manifesting itself on stage, hazy at the start, but then becoming more and more vivid. The ghost can interact with the audience and performers on stage as well as appearing to walk through furniture and other objects on stage. Illusionist Ghost - An Illusionist can perform a couple of ghost illusions. After setting the scene to guests the illusionist advises that he is a 'Spiritual Guide' to the paranormal, he then proclaims with his spiritual gift he can summon the ghosts to make an appearance. On stage there is a long table, on which the Illusionist stands, he then takes a cloth and tries to catch a ghost, he suddenly lets go off the cloth and as it falls to the floor a shape of a ghost appears in the cloth and starts moving. This is repeated and another ghost is captured. Finally a 3rd ghost is captured centre stage, the illusionist turns his back and walks to the back off the stage. One by one he points to the left cloth, which then reveals a female ghost, the right cloth also produces a female ghost. Then in a split second the illusionist disappears and appears as the ghost under the 3rd cloth which has been in the centre of the table all along. Special Effects Ghost - Once the dancers finish, the stage lights are turned off. Our spiritual guide comes on stage and summons the ghost, suddenly on stage ghosts start to appear and float around. The ghosts can vanish with a click of fingers, and re-appear over the other side of the stage and interact with the spiritual guide. Various routines and effects can be created to convince guests that ghosts have appeared. At the end of the show the ghosts vanish, and guests are left wondering have they really seen a ghost, or is it just an illusion. |
